500,000 New Jobs for the People!
July 20th 2009 05:10
In this economic turbulence situation, there’s nothing more important to have a steady job, especially for those people who had been fired from their previous job!
Well, if you’re living in the South Africa, then you should be blessed and thanks to the new president, Jacob Zuma! During the conference in Cape Town, Zuma had promised to create about 500,000 job opportunities to all South Africans and a further four million jobs by 2014.
He said government and citizens should be standing up to fight poverty together. The government won’t be able to achieve the dream, if the citizens didn’t co-operate with them.
Although it has been fifteen years after the end of apartheid, but there’s still over 40% of South Africans live in poverty line, which their daily earning is less than one dollar a day!
Beside that, Zuma also announced an annual national holiday, Mandela Day on 18 July for remembering what Mandela had given, fought and contributed to South Africa!
