Due to the inconsistency economy situation, many historical news publications, such as The Rocky Mountain News, which is founded in 1859 has been closed down in Colorado on February 26, 2009!
Beside that, some of the renowned news publications, including The Chicago Tribune, San Francisco Chronicle and The New York Times (Yep, you didn’t read it wrong, it’s really “The New York Times”!) all have the internal financial problems.
Based on the latest U.S. unemployment record, there are more than 12,500 print journalists have been lost their job in this year!
Some experts said that there’s only a way to help the traditional news publications from being bankrupt, which as change the old-fashioned newspaper to the online e-newspaper! However, they need to decrease the price, if they want to attract more e-newspaper readers to their website.
Honestly, The New York Times is on the changing phase, where they’re starting to put their daily news onto the main website. It’s a very wise step, as it keeps the readers update with the daily latest news from all around the world!
