Nokia, as one of the world’s biggest mobile phone maker, has announced their profit earning for the first quarter of 2010!
Honestly, they’re very pleased with the profit, as it surged to $467 million, comparing than the poor $163 million in 2009. At least, it’s a three times of profit for Nokia company, which is definitely the greatest news for them, after having the worst sales rate last year, due to the global economic doom.
However, Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, Nokia’s chief executive mentioned that it’s the toughest time for the company. Although the competition remains intense, but the overall mobile device market has been sliding down rapidly.
In other hand, Nokia’s top competitor, Sony Ericsson is also sharing the happy moment as Nokia did, where they managed to gain a total net profit of $29 million for the first quarter of 2010, and it’s absolutely much better than the $392 million deficit in the first quarter a year ago!
