Part-Timers, You Should Know Your Rights!
June 7th 2009 16:50
First of all, let me define the word, “Part-timers”. When you’re involving yourself as a part-timer in any typical job, there are two situations, where as:
1. You’re having a full-time job, but you cannot rely on the job to pay off your mortgage and the utility bills. Hence, you’re looking for another part time job after the end of the main job!
2. Or, you’re unable to find a permanent full-time job, and you’ve no choice but do several part time jobs at once.
Most of the part-timers didn’t sign any contract, and if they did, the contracts always protected the part-timers’ rights completely! As unemployment rises, the numbers of part-timers are getting more and more than ever before.
However, it didn’t mean that you should pay cheap and working like a cow, as you always have the rights to claim what’s belong to yours!
For those that want to jump into the “Part-timers” bandwagon, you should read on these following steps:
Trick No.1
Don’t try to be smart, by offering a lower wages than other applicants in front the employers. Well, you might able to get the job, but you’ll be suffering in the future for what you’ve did here!
Trick No.2
Don’t let the employers bullying you, by giving you extra working times without salary. Remember to sign on a contract with your employer. Also, make sure that the employers stated the agreements in black and white!
Trick No.3
If you’re not paying accordingly or being abused, you must negotiate the matter with your employer. Speak out your mind and thoughts, as silent is useless in this situation! You might want to bring this case to court, if your employers refused to pay you the wages that you’re deserved.
Like the old saying, “Time is money”. You’ve devoted your time on somebody else, and you should get what you’re deserved as the return.
