As the World Cup 2010 organizing country, South Africa wasn’t able to avoid from the global recession. Instead, she had no choice, but to join the recession’s alliance!
According to the latest report, South Africa’s GDP was declined 6.4% for the first quarter of 2009. The even worse thing is it was the biggest decline since 1984 for South Africa!
However, thanks to the upcoming World Cup 2010 tournament, South Africa’s economists strongly believed that they would be able to regain the momentum after the third and fourth quarters of 2009!
“Trust me, as things will get better in near future!” Jacob Zuma, the President of South Africa said.
