The global financial crisis is to be said has slowdown, as certain countries in the world are beginning to show some tremendous economy bounce up, after a few consecutive seasons of downfall!
In this case, it should be a good moment to fight back, especially for those who fired by their former employer. You shouldn’t be upset, as there’s a will, there’s a way!
Believe me, you’re not the one who having the difficulty, as there are millions of people out there facing the same problem as you did. Instead of sitting on the couch and sign in despair, you should stand up and seek for the opportunity.
Talking about opportunity, I would like to tell you a real success story of my friend, Freddie. For your information, Freddie is my senior high classmate. Honestly, he’s like anybody else; an ordinary guy who was graduated from the local community college and joined one of the well-known website development company.
He’s a very hardworking yet friendly person. Although he’s not a very talkative type, but he’s ready to help, when someone is in trouble! His easygoing attitude made him a popular person in the office.
He spent six years working at the website development company. Before the he’s being fired, he was the assistant manager in the programming section. Everything seems to be so wonderful, as his ex-boss suggested promoting him with the manager position in the end of year 2008! However, the unexpected economic turbulence has become the dreadful moment for Freddie, as his former employer decided to trim the company’s budget, and he’s been sacrificed during the unmerciful cutoff!
To be honest, Freddie was devastated, when he heard the bad news. He couldn’t believe that it’s a fact. As a friend, I must do something to help him standing up again!
In that moment, I visited him and have a long conversation with him. I asked him if he has any other talent or hobby, beside of the website development. He answered me that he loves to cook fruit jams during his spare time. His grandmother taught him the proper ways to make delicious fruit jam. Of course, his granny had passed away, but left his grandson the secret recipe!
Well, I convinced him that making fruit jams could be a profitable job, as some of the people made their first pail of gold by practicing this method. He was interested on my suggestion and decided to give it a shot.
However, he was worried, as he didn’t have the capital financial to start up the business. In order to help him overcome the problem, I advised him to consider the payday loans.
The more ironic thing was, Freddie have no idea, what the payday loans are! I told him that it’s a emergency loan, especially for those who want to cover their house mortgage, car mortgage, medical bills etc.
He was not so sure, whether his case is considered as “Emergency case” or not. I flabbergasted and asked him again, “If your situation doesn’t count as an emergency case, then tell me, how bad do you want it to be? Do you really want to be declared bankruptcy by the bank, due to the fail to pay the house and car mortgages?”
He was shocked and realized he must stay away from the bankruptcy. Hence, he took my advice and borrowed some emergency cash. After that, he used the cash to invest in his fruit jam production. During the period, we kept contacted by using e-mail and I always given some useful advices to help him expanding his business.
Guess what? After only seven months, Freddie’s fruit jam business is getting on track and managed to persuade the local supermarkets and grocery shops to sell his fruit jam. He’s now best known as “Freddie, the hometown recipe fruit jam maker”.
He was overjoyed with his achievement and he thanked me repeatedly through emails and phone calls. He said that he couldn’t make it, without my advices and encouragement!
I told him that it’s only the beginning of the journey. I’m sure his is able to go further, if he keeps on the momentum!
