Australia News: Qantas 787 Dreamliner – Perth to London – VH-ZND

Qantas is about to embark on what could be the airline’s most ambitious journey ever, when passengers step on board the Dreamliner 787-9 and fly 17-hours non-stop from Perth to London.

Flight Q9 will take off today, heralding a new direction for the Australian airline – ultra-long haul, big distance flying, with the goal to eventually transport passengers direct from Australia’s East Coast to London, and even New York.

  1. Oh yes, let's jam that virtue-signalling social statement in wherever, eh. We talkin' airplanes? No problem, we'll get that race and sexuality programming in there, too. A bit off topic, admittedly, but that doesn't really matter anymore, now does it?

  2. London to Sydney nonstop by 2022? Really?? That doesn't even seem possible with the current aircraft on the market considering that the max range for the airplanes capable of flying the longest routes is 10,000 miles.

  3. I’m really happy for QF achieving a milestone in the nonstop route between PER and LHR, I really am.

But let’s be honest, with the Dreamliner’s range and capacity as well as size, especially when it comes to the economy class, won’t passengers suffer blood clots, and loss of oxygen in their bodies upon an 17 straight hours flight nonstop?

Why not use the A388 aircraft? Better yet, why not QF purchase the B748i fleet, to achieve such better profit values coming their way in the near-future ahead?
