  1. did you know that you went to a island that is the biggest death custody sight in australia…from 1830 to 1921 rotnest island had a aboriginal only prison on it were over 4000 aborginee men and boys were sent there and treated worse then wild animals… they were forced to live in a 1.2 meter by 3 meter cell with 10 people in each cell thats no bigger then the inside of a car…the super intendent henry vincent bashed and kicked prisoners to death… he ripped one mans beard clean off with clips, beat one to death with his keys and b4 a set of prisoners were free to go back to the mainland he hung 5 men in front of them as a lesson of what would happen if they came back…they were forced to work in the hot sun and build his house and his prison the quad…disease from contact with europeons for the first time who were carying viruses aborigines had no contact with b4 then had a huge impact they couldn't controll there bowles from dysentery and vomited over eachother as there cells were that small they could not be sick anywere else…over 4000 men were there and 376 are buried there in unmarked mass graves dying from diseases and cruelty from guards and the warden…they found the first skeletons in 1971 in the courtyard of the quad over 289 then the others were found a few years later …just thought id let you know the history they wont tell you… its got info on it at the back of the museum a tiny little plaq that no one ever reads…but you can look it up on the net its a good read and will make you never want to go back
